In April of 2001 we had a big (huge, really) game of Warhammer 40,000 depicting a large-scale tyrannid attack on an Imperial Firebase. After it was all over we each tried to make some sense of the carnage in our own way; the battle report is available for viewing in the Journal section with photos and stuff - but my attempt at writing a battle report sort of ballooned into a novella which I'm calling Magnus Opus.
Its central character is an Inquisitor named Magnus Zhu who is caught in a web of intrigue within the arcane conspiratorial factions of the Inquisition itself. The story begins with him realizing that he's fallen into a trap; stranded and outnumbered on a world about to be overrun by a Tyrannid Hive Fleet.
Maybe it will form the basis of a campaign, maybe it will become a best-seller, maybe it will languish in an unfinished state and fall into the Great Dustbin of History. Who knows? Here it is, for your reading pleasure. I hope you enjoy it. I'll add more links as they are finished.
